Job Description: Cornwall Central School District is located in Orange County just north of the United States Military Academy at West Point. With a dedicated and committed staff, and graduates attending selective colleges, the District is a source of pride in the community The Cornwall Central School District is seeking a dedicated, highly qualified, and student-centered School Psychologist to join our special education and student support teams at Willow Avenue and Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary Schools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral growth of our diverse student population, working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for the Committee on Special Education (CSE) to assess individual student needs and determine appropriate recommendations. Collaborate with educators, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop effective Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs). Actively participate in CSE/504 meetings to review data, determine eligibility, and recommend appropriate supports. Participate in the MTSS process, including consulting with instructional staff on Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Position Requirements Valid New York State Certification as a School Psychologist is required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) extension is preferred.
