ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Performs a variety of complex clerical tasks to relieve supervisor of office and administrative detail.Assists with/prepares minutes, internal reports, state and federal reports, personnel evaluations, grant applications, etc.Composes and types letters requesting routine information and attends to other correspondence independently or with brief direction.Develops and maintains extensive and confidential filing systems including, but not limited to, personnel records, contract and negotiation data, budget and payroll information.Schedules the use of school facilities.Researches and compiles data and prepares reports.Prepares materials such as handouts, charts and graphs and slides for presentations and meetings.Acts as a receptionist for the Assistant Superintendent, screening calls, receiving visitors and scheduling appointments.Opens and screens mail, and responds to routine inquiries.Will assist the Assistant Superintendent with records and information needed for him/her to engage in the collective bargaining process.Assists the Assistant Superintendent with conference and seminar approvals for Professional Development. Assists staff with related inquiries and may also arrange for conference travel and seminar meetings. May place legal notices and announcements in newspapers.May coordinate purchasing, ordering and distribution of supplies, books and other materials for buildings and departments within the Assistant Superintendent’s purview.May assist the Assistant Superintendent with the annual budget vote, Board of Education elections and other special district elections that may arise.May assist with District social media, website content, public relations and branding notifications.
