Job Description: The eLearning Academy through Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking NYS certified teachers to be part of our growing virtual tutoring program, designed to provide flexible, student-centered support. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong passion for education and the adaptability to succeed in a fast-paced virtual environment. As a virtual tutor, you will provide personalized, real-time instruction to high school students in a virtual setting, supporting their individual academic needs and goals. We welcome applicants with diverse availability, as tutors are needed across a variety of days and times to accommodate student demand. Responsibilities: Host live virtual tutoring sessions in a virtual environment Communicate and collaborate with students, guardians, and learning professionals Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and a virtual environment Track and document tutoring sessions, goals, and student progress in alignment with program expectations Effectively navigate virtual platforms to facilitate tutoring Positions Available: Science 7-12 (Dual certification a plus) Social Studies 7-12 Math 7-12 World Languages 7-12 Music Technology Art Computer Science Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid NYS teaching certification Proficiency with instructional technology and online learning platforms Adaptability and responsiveness in a dynamic virtual setting Innovative and creative instructional strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Dual certification in applicable subject areas preferred For more information, please contact Kati Hinman: khinman@cayboces.org
