Minimum Requirements: New York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification, or eligibility to obtain certification. A doctoral degree is preferred; master's degree required. Successful experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, principal, or other senior-level educational administrator. Demonstrated leadership in improving student achievement and educational outcomes. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional leadership, special education, and state and federal education regulations. Proven experience in budget development, financial management, and long-range planning. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust among diverse stakeholders. Experience fostering positive relationships with employee organizations, community partners, and governmental agencies. A commitment to equity, innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership for the district's educational programs and strategic initiatives. Recommend policies and implement the goals established by the Board of Education. Lead and evaluate district administrators while fostering professional growth throughout the organization. Develop and administer the annual district budget and oversee responsible stewardship of district resources. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Promote a culture of academic excellence, innovation, safety, and inclusion. Maintain open, honest, and transparent communication with students, staff, parents, and the community. Build collaborative relationships with municipal leaders, community organizations, and educational partners. Oversee facilities planning, capital projects, technology initiatives, and operational excellence. Represent the district with professionalism and integrity at the local, regional, and state levels.
