Connetquot Central School DistrictDirector of MathematicsStart Date: July 1, 2026Salary: $150,000.00 - commensurate with experienceMinimum Requirements - NYS SDA/SDLResponsibilities: Providing visionary leadership to promote the development of progressive, vertically-aligned K-12 Mathematics, K-12 Computer Science, and K-5 Math Intervention Programs. Possessing thorough knowledge of research-based best practices related to Mathematics, including curriculum design, instructional delivery, and assessment. Partnering with the District's curriculum leaders and building principals to advance content-area literacy initiatives in support of the Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards. Designing and facilitating professional learning to enhance teacher growth and improve program effectiveness. Observing and evaluating secondary Mathematics teachers, K-8 STEM teachers, and K-5 Mathematics Specialists to promote professional growth and to ensure high standards of accountable practice and program effectiveness. Analyzing and utilizing student performance data to monitor student progress and lead a continuous process of program development and improvement. Planning, coordinating, and facilitating K-12 benchmark assessments and New York State Grades 3-12 assessments. Co-chairing Connetquot's Elementary Curriculum Committee. Collaborating with Connetquot's talented leadership team to support the District's commitment to equity and access for all students.
