**Requirements - CDL"B" with "S" & "P" endorsementExamines school buses and diagnoses repair and maintenance requirements. Required to attend in service training sessions when provided by manufacturers of equipment being used. Is able to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems as well as air brake systems and diesel engines and related components. Rebuilds engines and transmissions when necessary. Will be required to answer road calls and tow in buses which cannot be repaired on the road. Is required to road test all vehicles after repairs are completed.Thorough knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices of the automotive, medium / light and heavy duty truck chassis trade. Must have good knowledge of all occupational hazards and safety precautions. Knowledge of the operating and repair characteristics of the wide variety of automotive and truck chassis equipment.Skill in the use and care of tools, machines and testing instruments. ability to diagnose malfunctioning of automotive and mechanical equipment. Ability to execute written instructions and to follow diagnostic diagrams, sketches including computer diagnostic tools.
