Connetquot Central School District - Director of Instructional TechnologyMust have NYS Certification as School District Administrator (SDL/SAS)Master's Degree and Minimum of 5 year's classroom teaching experience preferredCompetitive Salary and BenefitsResponsibilities:Provides visionary and creative leadership in all aspects of Digital Learning and district-wide innovation including IT Support, Professional Development, Technology and Data Management;Works collaboratively to design and implement district-wide learning technology programs and initiatives that promote integration of technology across the curriculum;Develops and implements learning technology and professional learning opportunities that promote and support district instructional strategies and goals;Provides leadership and innovation for enhancing teaching and learning through the identification, evaluation, adoption and integration of effective educational innovations into the curriculumProvides leadership in the development of strategic approaches for the integration of technology into the educational environments of the districtWorks collaboratively and effectively with faculty throughout the district to provide pedagogical and technical consulting to design, develop, and implement instructional content, courses and projects that enrich teaching and learning through the use of technology including the integration of student learning outcomes.Leads a team that provides administrative and technical support for all instructional technology to improve learning outcomes, facilitate technology-rich teaching, and advance curricular innovation.Formulates and provides a professional development program designed to support faculty in the design, development and delivery of curriculum and instruction.Is a leader in the field and maintains awareness of best practices, emerging technologies and new potentials in education technology that may be adopted as new and emerging instructional media, technologies, pedagogies and practices;Maintains appropriate records and data to produce monthly performance reports, annual performance reports, and external reports related to technology support, budgeting and data requirements;Coordinates with Central Administration office to ensure adequate technology infrastructure and budget to meet goals of technology- enhanced curriculum;Observes and evaluates teachers and technology support personnel in accordance with established guidelines as needed;Participates in relevant district policy and planning committees, meetings and participates in the facilitation of other initiatives at the district and school level;Completes all other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents;Attends Board of Education meetings and prepares reports for the Board of Education at the request of the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents.
