12:1:1 Special Education Teacher (Grades K - 2) (Leave Replacement) Location of the Position: Clayton Huey Elementary School Potential Start Date: 04/16/2026 (through to on or about 10/05/2026 - not inclusive of summer) Certification(s) Required: NYS Students with Disabilities (Birth - 2) NYS Students with Disabilities (1 - 6) Salary: Preferred Substitute Teacher Rate (from on or about 04/16 - 05/01/2026) then as per Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the remainder of the assignment. Position Description: Manage and implement student IEPs, including progress monitoring and documentation. Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Collect and analyze data on student performance and behavior to inform instruction. Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on students' needs. Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and support teams. Participate in CSE meetings and communicate student progress effectively. Maintain consistent, positive communication with parents and guardians.
