The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for literature, writing, and student engagement, and will contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and communication skills. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the New York State Next Generation ELA Standards. Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote reading comprehension, literary analysis, and writing proficiency. Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments. Maintain accurate and timely student records, including attendance, grades, and communication logs. Collaborate with department colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians to support learning and growth.
