The Director of Science, Grades K-12 serves as a member of the District-Wide Instructional Leadership Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of “WHY” and “HOW” students learn, the capacity to engage in personal and professional growth, and the ability to collaborate as part of a team of educators.The Director of Science assists the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment by leading and coordinating the science education programs of the District. The Director also supervises and evaluates staff, prepares the departmental budget, provides professional growth activities; and reviews and enhances science curriculum, instruction, and assessment practicesJob Qualifications· At least 5-years experience as a successful classroom teacher or 3-years as a successful school or district administrator preferred.· School District Leader (SDL) or School Administrator (SAS) Certification Required.· Experience with the International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs, and/or Project Lead The Way is preferred.· NYSED Fingerprint Clearance required.All applicants should send a letter of interest with resume by September 05, 2022 addressed to:Dr. Michael MenschInterim Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources
