Job Title: Secretary to the Central OfficeThe Cambridge Central School District (CCS) is a district of more than 800 students set in the bucolic backdrop of the Cambridge Valley of upstate New York near the Green Mountains of Vermont. The district’s students are divided into an elementary school for grades K-6, and secondary school for grades 7-12. The district serves a 100-square mile territory including parts of eight different townships.Role Summary:This unique 12-month position coordinates and assists with multiple departments in the district. The candidate must have strong organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to carry out duties in a way that promotes the policies and procedures of the district.Duties and Responsibilities:Assists the tax collector for the district including record keeping and documentation.Works closely with the Transportation Supervisor to assist with communication, monitoring and creating route assignments, documentation, payroll, routing of new students, training and professional development, and record keepingFacilitates and monitors all events, meetings, testing, and other facility use needs for the district through the use of our facility management software - QWARECommunicates with various departments, administration, and outside parties regarding building and facility use needsAssists the Buildings and Grounds Department with purchase orders, delivery and shipment of packages, disposition of assets, shredding,and record keepingAssists the Business Office with support around payroll, benefits, notifications, and record keepingMinimum Qualifications:At least three years experience working in a school districtHigh school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferredAbility to work 9:00am -5:00pmSkills and Abilities:Knowledge and experience with Microsoft and Google platformsStrong organization skills and detail orientedAbility to communicate well and perform as part of a teamStrong analytical and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of property tax collection and local tax requirements (preferred)
