The Clinton Central School District has an immediate opening for the following position:Job Description: Telecommunications Specialist Reports to: Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and TechnologyCivil Service Position, Full time, CompetitiveQualifications: Thorough knowledge of Information Technology systems and software including: computer servers, local and wide area networks, communication equipment for voice and data, centralized hosted services, web access, and information management. Ability to meet deadlines, establish priorities and mitigate support concerns. Good knowledge of the organization and functioning of school systems relating to their Informational Technology needs and requirements. Exceptional communication and problem solving skills.Responsibilities:Assists in district-wide technical strategic planning, budgeting, technology planning, coordination and inservice.Supervises district computer technicians.Troubleshoots network hardware, software, and communication systems.Coordinates with BOCES and MORIC for network support.Responsible for the general oversight and management of district software systems, including backend data integration.Defines current and anticipated technical resources based on organizational expectations, initiatives and district objectives.Provides administrative support and oversight of the district’s website.Oversees the planning, installation, monitoring and maintenance of all local area networks (LAN) throughout the organization.Coordinates technical projects from inception to implementation.Thorough knowledge of both analog and digital telephone system installation and maintenance.In addition to applying on OLAS, you must also apply via our website at https://www.ccs.eduNOTE:Vacancies are filled by a certified list provided by Oneida County Civil Service.
