The Enrichment Teacher will support the differentiation of instruction for students in grades K-5 by providing enrichment opportunities and targeted instruction. This educator will work collaboratively with classroom teachers and administrators to enhance learning experiences, identify students for advanced learning classes, and implement engaging lessons in Humanities and STEM. Additionally, the teacher will plan and support schoolwide enrichment challenges and activities, encouraging all students to engage in creative and critical thinking.Essential Responsibilities:Develop and deliver enrichment lessonsSTEM, ensuring rigorous and engaging learning experiences for students.Plan and support schoolwide enrichment challenges and activities to engage students in problem-solving and higher-order thinking experiences.Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiation within the general education settingProvide targeted instruction in a pullout model for identified students, with sessions lasting 45 minutes.Identify students for the pullout program based on multiple measure criteria established by the District.Utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that challenges students while nurturing their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Stay informed about best practices in enrichment education, integrating research-based strategies into instruction.Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and program opportunities.Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the enrichment program.Qualifications:Valid NYS Elementary K-5 certification; Gifted and Talented Certification Extension eligibility preferredExperience working with enrichment or advanced learning programs.Strong background in curriculum differentiation and student-centered instruction.Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Passion for fostering a love of learning and intellectual curiosity in students.Willingness and ability to identify and troubleshoot problems with basic instructional technology.Demonstrate adaptability and continuous learning by staying current on emerging trends, digital tools, and pedagogical best practices.Knowledge of the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency StandardsThis role is ideal for an educator dedicated to supporting students’ academic growth by providing challenging, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom curriculum.
