Job Overview: Seeking a highly motivated and innovative Technology Facilitator. The candidate will be responsible for assisting teachers in the development and implementation of technology-integrated curriculum across all grade levels, providing software support and professional development, and communicating with staff, parents, students, and community members.Key Responsibilities:Consult with and guide teachers in the integration of technology into instructionCo-teach to model transformational uses of technologyProvide support to students, parents, and teachers in use of various software programs and digital resourcesManage and promote district technology resources and inventoryPerform basic troubleshooting related to softwareCommunicate with stakeholders through technology website and monthly newslettersParticipate in District Technology CommitteeDesign and implement learning activities for new professionalsTrain and support students and staff with assistive technologyResearch, test, and review new technologySupport District computer-based assessmentCollaborate with teachers and administrators to fully implement the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards.Qualifications: NY State Teaching certification, minimum 3 years experienceRelevant experience as an instructional coach, instructional technology specialist, technology teacher, professional developer, or technology supportAdditional certification in Technology Education, Computer Science, Gifted Education, or Educational Technology preferredStrong knowledge of instructional technology tools and resources, including Google Workspace, digital content creation tools, block coding, and basic roboticsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and staffStrong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFlexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of settingsPosition will be a teacher on special assignment. Tenure area to be determined based on certification and New York State Education Department Guidelines.
