Deadline: May 30, 2023SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTMAY 2023Job Description:This employee is responsible for organizing and implementing therapeutic activities that meet the needs ofstudents with speech and language delays and disorders. Additionally, this employee will meet allrequirements and duties of teaching as outlined in laws, policies, and contract.Responsibilities: Expertise in child language development, as well as knowledge of various disabilities andmethodologies Ability to work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, socialcommunication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children(preschool-high school aged) Ability to assess through observation and evaluation tools to develop informed treatment? Write IEP’s and progress monitor goals for domain of speech and language Experience with basic sign, oral motor development, and feeding Experience providing and programming augmentative and alternative communication(AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders or theability to learn to provide services for students who use AAC Have experience with remote programming Attend and participate in team, planning and agency meetings . Provide training andeducation to family/caregivers and other professionals. Offer supplemental activities/training for home and team Collaborate with other team members to provide evidence based therapeutic interventions Knowledge of and ability to implement 5-10 minute articulation sessions and for socialcommunication disordersQualifications: Must be NYS certified Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped and hold NYSLicense with the Office of the Professions as a Speech Language Pathologist/CCC. Formal job offer/selection is contingent on ability to obtain a fingerprint supported criminalhistory background check through the TEACH system prior to working. Clinical Fellowship Students are welcome to apply. Must have TSHH certification
