Assistant Supervisor of TransportationThe Chatham Central School District is seeking a full-time Assistant Supervisor of Transportation to assist the Supervisor of Transportation with oversight and management of all phases of the CCSD Transportation Department and perform related duties as required. The successful candidate must demonstrate good knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to the operation of a school bus fleet; good knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to the operation of a school bus, good knowledge of NYS Motor Vehicle Law, the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others, dependability, and have excellent communication skills; knowledge of routing software preferred, but not required.The successful candidate must be Columbia County Civil Service qualified as an Assistant Supervisor of Transportation or be eligible to take the exam, as well as a licensed School Bus Driver, a 19-A certified examiner and must hold a School Bus Driver Instructor (SBDI) certificate.
