Chittenango Central School has the following anticipated vacancy for the 2024-25 school year:Director of TechnologyJOB DESCRIPTION: This is an administrative and technical position responsible for the planning, directing and supervision of the development, support and operation of technology services in a school district. The incumbent maintains production procedures routines and controls to insure maximum availability of technology resources. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent for Business, who provides guidance and support, with leeway for the exercise of independent judgement. Supervision is exercised over subordinate personnel. The incumbent performs related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:A. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a closely related field AND four (4) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, professional work experience in *Information Systems Technology, two (2) years of which must have included direct supervision of technical staff; ORB. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a closely related field AND six (6) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, professional work experience in *Information Systems Technology, two (2) years of which must have included direct supervision of technical staff; ORC. Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and eight (8) years of full-time paid, or its part-time equivalent, professional work experience in *Information Systems Technology, two (2) years of which must have included direct supervision of technical staff; ORD. An equivalent combination of training and experience as outlined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.*NOTE: Experience in information technology must include management or administrative-level experience in directing and planning for a technology support department, including networking, computers, voice, servers, budget, and staff.All candidates must meet the Civil Service Requirements for the Madison County position of Director of Technology (Schools) and pass the qualification test when available.
