The Chappaqua Central School District is a community of six schools serving 3500 students in Westchester County. Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Student Life Coordinator (Grades 9-12) at Horace Greeley High School beginning 8/31/2023.Essential Functions:Able to support faculty and staff in the implementation of programs and initiatives that nurture student citizenship at Horace Greeley High School. Oversees the Senior Capstone for all seniors who are conducting internships outside of the building.Coordinates extra-curricular programs for students, including the Club Activity Fair, training club leadership, overseeing all club leadership selection processes.Facilitates student voice for daily announcements.High School experience as a teacher or counselor preferred. Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to support students' interests in extra-curricular programs.Serves as ready resource to students to provide support that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and maturity.Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seeks professional learning opportunities.Experience with social and emotional learning preferred (knowledge of RULER).Encourages parental involvement in students education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.Certification/License:New York State Certification in any subject area Grades 7 - 12.This position includes a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and extensive opportunities for professional development and mentor support.Application deadline: ASAPSalary Range: $69,426 - $149,200Please apply on OLAS for this position and through our website www.chappaquaschools.org (click the “Join Our Team” logo in the upper right corner of the home page).
