This position has a 4-year probationary period with Tenure Track. Responsibilities: Perform individual and small-group counseling in collaboration with teachers counseling team, and administrators; and creation of individual plans for students needing more assistance with development Provide teachers and staff with tier 1 social emotional interventions for students Attend meetings with support staff, teachers, counseling team, and administration for ongoing coaching and support relating to behavior interventions Support and assist in the creation of the social emotional curriculum and implementation of behavior support systems and behavior plans Help students develop healthy perceptions of themselves and resolve student conflict on their own Background in childhood trauma or trauma-based counseling encouraged Certifications: School social worker, school psychologist, school counselor, or other appropriate certified professionals may apply All qualified candidates must apply by November 26, 2024 to OLAS at www.olasjobs.org Christopher Stein, Elementary School Principalcstein@cairodurham.orgCairo-Durham Central School DistrictP.O.
