CAIRO-DURHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Anticipated Social Worker – High School Date: August 21, 2024Position Title: Social WorkerPosition Status: Full-timeStart Date: 2024-25 School YearReports to: Catherine Dodig, High School Principal The Cairo Durham Central School District has an anticipated opening for School Social Worker to provide appropriate comprehensive services to students, families, and school staff, addressing barriers that limit a student from receiving full benefit from their educational experience. The successful candidate will respond to referrals from school administration, parents, teachers, the Student Support Team, the Committee on Special Education and others by providing direct services to students and by assisting families in accessing appropriate community resources. The individual will respond to crisis situations both individually and as part of the larger student services team. Qualifications and Experience: School Social Worker certification (preference given to candidates possessing the LCSW credential). Prior experience working with secondary students is preferred.
