This position reports to the Building Principal and serves as building leadership in the absence of the Principal. Duties include:? Collaborates with all faculty, staff, students, and administrators in shaping a school culture that maintains discipline, yet supports warmth and caring throughout the student body; deals with special cases, as needed? Coordinates transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services required in the school? Contributes to an inclusive environment that focuses on diversity and equity for all school community stakeholders? Assists in managing extra-curricular activities? Assists in the preparation of the master schedule, (schedule of classes), and student schedules? Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups, as requested, in advancing education and related activities and objectives? Assists in the coordination of the building-level emergency response plan, the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities? Assist in the supervision and evaluation for all personnel, both instructional and non-instructional, providing APPR support to the Principal, as needed? Participate and support high quality professional development to suit the needs of staff? Partners with district leaders to align initiatives? Performs role of DASA Coordinator? Coordinates with outside service agencies such as Probation, CPS, etc.? Manages 504 process? Performs such record-keeping and reporting functions as the Principal may direct? Required Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA), School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL)? Ability to relate to the age-appropriate student cohort and demonstrate a commitment to their social-emotional, physical, and academic well-being?
