About Crossroads Center for Children Located in Princetown, NY, Crossroads Center for Children provides specialized education for students ages 2–10. Our school aged program (ages 5-10) serves students in individualized classrooms utilizing groups, centers, and individualized instruction. Our approach is rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based framework focused on: Teaching meaningful, functional skills Encouraging pro-social behaviors Supporting communication and independence Our classrooms thrive on collaboration. As a teacher, you’ll work side-by-side with: Teaching Assistants Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) Speech Language Pathologists Occupational Therapists Physical Therapists You’ll never feel alone, your students and you are supported every step of the way. What Your Days Will Look Like As a Preschool or School Aged Special Education Teacher, you’ll lead a warm, engaging classroom where learning happens through play, structure, and meaningful social interaction. You’ll partner closely with an Educational Supervisor and BCBAs to help each child reach their developmental goals. Each classroom is supported by multiple teaching assistants, allowing you to focus on teaching, connection, and growth. Your role will include: Planning and leading engaging group activities focused on early learning, play, and social skills Teaching communication, play, academic, and self-help skills through structured and natural learning opportunities Creating and updating individualized skill-building materials and binders Using Discrete Trial Instruction (DTI) and other ABA-based teaching strategies Supervising, guiding, and supporting teaching assistants Coordinating classroom staff coverage Writing reports and maintaining documentation Collaborating with BCBAs and related service providers to implement IEPs Attending IEP, team, and school meetings Collecting and analyzing data to guide instruction Celebrating the small victories that lead to big developmental breakthroughs Who Thrives Here We’re looking for teachers who are: Patient, energetic, and compassionate Joyful and comfortable getting down on the floor to play and teach Mission-driven and passionate about helping children succeed Organized, reliable, and collaborative Lifelong learners eager to grow professionally Schedule Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (37.5 hours per week) School-year calendar with a six-week summer program Salary $56,000 – $65,000 per year Benefits We believe the people who support our students deserve to feel supported too.
