Special Education Teacher Assistant Crossroads Center for Children, located in Schenectady, NY, is looking to fill an immediate opening for a Special Education Teacher Assistant. We are looking for staff who are fun loving, life-long learners, committed, and determined to help students achieve their best. Crossroads serves students following principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. ABA is an empirically based science that is used to analyze the relationship between a child and their environment and improve socially significant behavior. We stress positively reinforcing appropriate behaviors and replacing challenging behaviors with functional communication. Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders is preferred, but not required.
