2026-2027 School Year Anticipated Vacancies Location: District Office Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2026 Probationary – 12 Month Director of Multilingual Programming & Outreach Job Summary: The Director of Multilingual Programming will coordinate and implement all multilingual programs in the district, including Dual Language, ENL, and World Language programming. The successful candidate will have a strong command of NYS learning standards as related to World Languages, and CR-Part 154/CR Part-154.3 regulations as it pertains to ENL and Dual Language programs. The successful candidate will have previous experience organizing, designing, facilitating, and implementing professional development opportunities aligned with state standards, NYS regulations, community outreach, and research-based best practices. The successful candidate must be able to analyze data to improve instructional practices and learning outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Adapt and align current ENL services to state and federal regulations, including compliance with CR Part 154 regulation, focusing on oversight of NYSITELL. WIDA and other assessments • Supervise and improve upon all aspects of any groups of students that are designated by the NYSED Department of Accountability. This includes all aspects of the New York State Consolidated State Plan under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for the Reimagine Phase. • Manage and supervise aspects of Title funding for ENL students • In collaboration with administrators, supervise and evaluate teachers on a regular basis in accordance with the District's Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) Plan • Foster and maintain a mindset of support and high expectations and care for all students- where differences are seen as strengths to be nourished, celebrated, and welcomed • Conduct qualitative and quantitative community needs assessments related to the district's bilingual programs and collect and analyze data to inform professional development • Conduct parent and community outreach events & meetings for ENL, Dual Language, and World Language programming • Assist in the hiring of ENL and Bilingual personnel • Assist the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction in formulating and articulating a philosophy of learning objectives for English Language Arts, Social Studies, and World Language Curriculum • Establish and maintain the vertical coordination of curriculum between the elementary, middle and the secondary level by communicating regularly with administrators and teachers • Support administrators and teachers to effectively use student performance data for sharing best practices and improving student learning • Determine appropriate assessments to provide data on student achievement, to include benchmark assessments, and analyze/summarize student performance on state assessments and Advanced Placement exams • Work with administrators to recruit, interview, and recommend for hiring certified ENL, Dual Language, and World Language candidates • Take directive from the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and the Superintendent, including but not limited to, district goals and objectives Minimum Qualifications: • New York State TESOL certification or NYS Bilingual Extension • New York State School District Leader (SDL) or SDA • Minimum of five years of successful and effective full-time teaching (must have received tenure) or school-based instructional experience in Bilingual Education, OR A minimum of three (3) years of school-based or district administrative and supervisory experience • Academic Spanish proficiency required
