25/26 Anticipated Middle School Principal VacancyLocation: George Fischer Middle SchoolPosition: Middle School Principal (Tenure Track Position) Requirements: A valid New York State certificate as a School Administrator and Supervisor or School District Administrator (School Building Leader or School District Leader). 5-8 years of building-based experience Demonstrate ability to: *Provide leadership and work effectively with students, staff members, parents and educational community members;*Use creative problem-solving, decision-making skills and good judgement to provide a positive learning environment resulting in positive development and continuous improvement for students and staff;*Use information, including relevant research and student data, in working with teachers to improve student learning and achievement; and,*Communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of constituents. Description: Middle School Principal; anticipated start date of August 2025 Participates in school district planning and decision making consistent with the District’s mission, belief statement and annual district goalsSupervises and administers the building in accordance with district policies, regulations and procedures.Coordinates the development of short and long range plans designed to address annual district goals.Provides leadership in the adaptation of the general program of education approved for the school to meet the needs of a unique community.Assists in screening, interviewing and recommending qualified candidates for positions on the school staff and in the orientation of new personnel.Supervises and evaluates certified and classified building staff.Maintains student Code of Conduct and coordinates the enforcement of disciplinary policies.Supervises the safety, administration and maintenance of the school building and all physical inventories within.Serves as the communication liaison between the school and the community interpreting activities and policies of the school and encouraging participation in school life.
