General Description: The IDT teacher will have a special education certification. The IDT Teacher will operate out of the High School. The IDT’s work hours would be the same as other teachers, however, the hours shall be flexible, and generally will start at period 3. All other contractual terms and conditions apply. Responsibilities:The Primary responsibility of the IDT Teacher will be to facilitate the learning for students that traditionally qualify for an IDT program.Provide Students with instruction and instructional support to successfully complete their studies and teacher proved work, while enrolled in IDT.Communicate with building leadership, parents, and teachers to ensure continuity.Communicate with the students’ teachers to ensure that class requirements are being met.Aid students with the reintegration into the school building when appropriate.If no students are eligible for the IDT program, the teacher may be required to complete Home Instruction services until students become eligible for the IDT program. Home Instruction service would occur during regular school hours at no additional compensation.
