BUILDING TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR GRADES K - 2 Coman Hill Elementary School The Building Technology Coordinator position requires an educator with early elementary-level teaching experience and a demonstrated record of accomplishment as a teacher and teacher leader. We seek a successful candidate for the Building Technology Coordinator position who is a systems thinker, demonstrates a high degree of flexibility, and is passionate about facilitating deep learning experiences for our youngest learners while supporting the professional growth of the adult learning community. The successful candidate will exhibit the following criteria: Models exemplary student-centered, inquiry-based learning environments. Focuses on using technology to empower K-2 students to become creators, communicators, and critical thinkers. This position includes teaching and operational responsibilities, as determined by the building Principal and the Director of Technology. Partners with K-2 classroom teachers to integrate technology seamlessly into foundational ELA, Math, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), ensuring digital tools enhance rather than distract from early developmental milestones. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of age-appropriate technology and STEAM curriculum, including foundational robotics, block-based coding (e.g., ScratchJr, Bee-Bots), digital storytelling, and creative applications within Google Workspace for Education. Supports building-wide data-informed instruction by supporting instructional data systems, facilitating assessment entry, and collaborating with the building Data Team. Collaborates with building and District leaders to develop training materials that provide timely and proactive support for using data to support classroom instruction. Trains and supports faculty in the creation of parent reports and ensures new staff are supported with "just in time" training on building data systems and other relevant topics related to technology and education. Demonstrates leadership as a facilitator of professional learning communities and designs/facilitates professional development courses for faculty and staff. Willingness to lead summer workshops in the District’s annual summer Cyber Camp and participate in summer building-level technology preparation. Displays enthusiasm, creativity, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies, STEAM tools, and instructional methods alongside colleagues. Maintains awareness of the building assessment calendar to ensure technology and data systems are aligned with building needs. Coordinates building technology support services and projects in collaboration with District technology leadership. Job responsibilities are subject to change based on student and building needs, as determined by the building principal. NYS K-12 Technology Education or Elementary Education certification is preferred.
