Commences September 2023POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Assistant Principal of Instructional programs will be responsible for support for the Principal of the East Learning Center and will work directly with special education programs staff and students in an alternative setting. The Assistant Principal will be expected to demonstrate positive leadership and interpersonal skills and assume additional responsibilities when assigned. The candidate will be responsible for student day to day interactions and will utilize a trauma-informed approach when working with students and staff.REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• NYS Certification in School District Administration (SDL, SBL, SDA, SAS)• Knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and anti-bullying programs are helpful, but not mandatory.• Three years teaching experience
