The Bronxville School District is hiring multiple Basketball coaches for both the Boys and Girls teams, at the Modified, Freshman and JV Levels.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCreate a positive team environment with open and respectful communication.Create a culture of inclusion. Responsible for planning and conducting in-season and where appropriate and permissible pre-season, non-traditional and post-season team/individual practices, and competitions.Participate in public relations opportunities with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.Provide student-athletes with instruction regarding physical health and safety and promote student-athlete safety and well-being.Evaluate individual and team performanceManage the selection of and train/develop team captains and other team leadersConduct individual and team assessment meetings Teach the basic skills and concepts of Basketball.Collaborate with the Head Varsity Coach to help maintain a strong Basketball programREQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR LICENSUREExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, strong attention to detail.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel for games.Compliance with the NYSPHSAA, Section 1, Conference 3 and the Bronxville School rules and regulations.All NYSPHSAA Coaching requirements to be completed.Bronxville will interview candidates until all positions are filled.
