Teacher Resident Opportunity for Education Graduate StudentsBronxville Elementary SchoolBronxville, New YorkJob Description:Bronxville is offering paid internship positions for the 2023-2024 school year to graduate students who are pursuing a Master of Education Degree (Early Childhood, Elementary 1-6 and/or Special Education) at a local college or university. Bronxville’s Teacher Resident program is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to gain experience while working alongside experienced mentor teachers in a progressive school district. Our Teacher Residents are familiarized with cutting edge curriculum such as Teachers College Reading & Writing Project and Singapore Math. Our Teacher Residents are also exposed to modern instructional approaches such as Project-Based Learning, Learner Active Technology Infused classroom setups and the use of state of the art instructional technology. In addition, this internship provides opportunities to be part of school wide planning teams such as Response to Intervention and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Each Teacher Resident is a permanent member of a collaborative grade level team where they shadow their mentor teacher and take an active role in their team planning process. Teacher Residents also gain invaluable experience through substitute teaching in grades K-5. Such building coverage averages to be approximately 2-4 days per week and is on an as needed basis. Qualifications: Candidates should be currently enrolled in a Master of Education program or a program leading to teacher certification. We are only seeking Elementary (Grades K-5) candidates at this time.
