The Bronxville School is seeking a full time tenure track Mathematics Coach to serve in classrooms from Kindergarten through Grade 8.Successful candidates will:Facilitate discussions based on District curriculum and current practicesModel math lessons in classroomsModel conferring and small groups in math classroomsPrepare and assist teachers in collecting and analyzing student data as it relates to mathematical skill developmentConduct regular meetings with classroom teachers to look at student work and monitor progressAssist teachers with planning, sequencing and scaffolding of math unitsAssist teachers in transition to new math standardsParticipate in Curriculum Leader meetings as neededParticipate in Team meetings as needed (MS Only)Provide in-service training and follow up coaching to math teachersAssist in preparation with unit materialsObserve and provide peer feedback to teachers on math instructionReports to Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and InstructionSuccessful candidates will have extensive experience with the District’s chosen curriculum of Big Ideas Math, Singapore Math, and experience with the lesson structure and design of Greg Tang Math. Appropriate NYS certification is required.
