RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: Functions as the liaison between user departments and Information Technology staff. Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, as well as various educational software programs used throughout the District. Creates and maintains departmental documentation and end user guides. Maintains and tracks all technological issues reported to the Department. Advises user of status and recommends a procedure to follow until the issue is resolved. Attends various technological meetings to track and report changes to third-party applications. Evaluates third-party software applications to ensure the District is functioning efficiently. Images computers to add program packages and to optimize its functioning. General office work and related duties as required. CIVIL SERVICE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (a) Graduation from a college with federally-authorized accreditation or registration by NY State with an Associate's Degree in a field related to office information systems and technologies, and two (2) years of experience in the utilization of software to create or design specialized forms, reports or models; or, (b) Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and four (4) years of experience in the utilization of software to create or design specialized forms, reports or models; or, (c) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).
