BRENTWOOD UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT BRENTWOOD, NY 11717 The Brentwood Union Free School District, New York’s largest suburban school district, announces the following vacancy for an articulate, analytical, dedicated, progressive, and creative educations leader: SWD 7-12 Teacher General Science Qualifications: Students with Disabilities 7-12 Must hold NYS Biology 7-12 TESOL certification preferred Responsibilities: Serves as IEP case manager for assigned students, ensuring timely development, implementation, progress monitoring, and annual review of IEPs in accordance with federal, state, and district regulations. Designs and delivers specially designed instruction that is aligned with IEP goals, grade-level standards, and students’ unique learning needs, including accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology as appropriate. Prepare and deliver engaging biology and general science lessons to students from different backgrounds, who all have different interests and abilities Establish and maintain standards for behavior that foster student self-discipline and positive relationships among students Establishing classroom and laboratory rules ensuring all students understand and accept.
