analytical, dedicated, progressive, and creative educational leader:Elementary Assistant Principal(10.25-month work year)Job Summary:Work with the school’s principal, teachers and parents to maintain a positive learning environment which fosters high expectations for all students and staff. Assist with the implementation of the school’s instructional program, supervision and evaluation of staff, building operations and student management. Reports to: Elementary School Principal Minimum Requirements:Ö Must hold appropriate NYS Administrative Certification. Ö Minimum of 5 years total of successful public-school teaching experience.Additional requirements include, but are not limited to:Ö Assist the building principal in providing educational leadership through supervision of the educational program, promotion of best teaching practices, and guidance for instructional support staff to meet the needs of all students.Ö Foster growth and development of staff by monitoring, supervising, and supporting instruction through classroom observations both formal and informal; contents of professional development sessions, and identification of resources for instructional purposes.Ö Instruct teachers in the use of the New York State Next Generation Standards for local alignment with curricular lessons/unit frameworks. Ö Participate in the systematic collection, analysis, and reporting of school data and its relationship to the District and State for better educational outcomes.Ö Develop systems and supports to strengthen the home-school connection and promote family and community engagement.
