Living Environment/Biology 7-12/General Science(Replacement) Qualifications:Must hold NYS Biology 7-12 CertificationSuccessful public school teaching experience preferred Responsibilities:Prepare and deliver engaging biology and general science lessons to students from different backgrounds, who all have different interests and abilities. Monitor student performance and adjusting teaching strategies and techniques for improved content delivery. Establishing classroom and laboratory rules ensuring all students understand andaccept. Encouraging students to participate in science fairs, competitions and expos preparing them for these events. Maintain student attendance records, and grade examinations or assign this work to others. Prepare course materials such as homework assignments and required records. Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom discussions. Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
