The Burnt Hills Ballston Lake CSD is seeking a Teaching Assistant (7.5 hours/day) to serve in the Soar program. This TA will be responsible for working with students who have a range of individual needs and providing support to help students be successful as well as serving as a TA on the bus after the school day has ended.Some specific tasks for an elementary teaching assistant for special education might include:Supporting students with disabilities in academic activities and lessonsSupporting individual students with disabilities in areas such as physical, emotional, and behavioral needsCollaborating with the teacher and other professionals to implement behavior plans for identified studentsMonitoring student progress and working with the teacher to adjust support and interventions as needed.Requirements for this job might include previous experience working with students with behavioral needs.
