Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central District is seeking interested applicants for a Licensed Clinical School Social Worker position. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, and teachers to maintain a positive school culture, and support and nurture a sense of community. The School Social Worker counsels students towards managing all non-instructional factors that influence student success – social, emotional, and behavioral services as needed. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:Ensuring the safety of students at all timesProviding individual and group counseling to students at-risk as well as students with disabilitiesParticipating in evaluating students for the need for special education servicesCreating behavior intervention plansProviding case management services, such as managing contact and coordination with CPS as needed, and providing referrals to community resourcesProviding trainings and workshops to teachers, school staff and familiesPartnering with families to address issues such as trauma, chronic absenteeism, temporary housing and crisis managementParticipation in the RTI processWorking closely with the Pupil Assistance TeamAdministering and sharing results from informal assessmentsKeeping accurate & organized records of student progress monitoring and session notesAssisting with non-instructional supervision of students as needed Burnt Hills Ballston Lake Central School District strives to build a culturally responsive and inclusive environment that encourages, embraces and celebrates diversity Burnt Hills Ballston Lake Central School District is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing a work environment which is free from discrimination.
