Bus Driver at Broadalbin-Perth Central School District Full-Time | Probationary Position | Starting at $32.81 per hour Broadalbin-Perth Central School District is accepting applications for a full-time probationary Bus Driver. The successful candidate will play an essential role in safely transporting students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and other district-sponsored events while maintaining a positive and professional environment. About the Position Bus Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of school buses while transporting students in accordance with all federal, state, and district regulations. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records, ensuring student safety, and communicating effectively with students, parents, and district staff. This is a full-time probationary position with benefits provided in accordance with the negotiated agreement. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or the ability to obtain required certifications. Ability to safely operate a school bus and comply with all applicable transportation regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to student safety. Ability to work independently and as part of the Transportation Department team. Preferred Qualifications Previous school bus driving experience. Familiarity with New York State Department of Transportation and Department of Motor Vehicles regulations relating to pupil transportation.
