7-12 Technology Teacher at Broadalbin-Perth Central School District Full-Time | Tenure-Track | Anticipated Start July 1, 2026 The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District is seeking a highly qualified Technology Teacher at Broadalbin-Perth Central School District. This is a full-time, tenure-track position anticipated to start July 1, 2026. About the District: Located at the foothills of the Adirondacks, Broadalbin-Perth CSD serves approximately 1,700 students across two campuses. We are a supportive school community focused on academic excellence, student well-being, and strong family and community partnerships. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and innovative Technology Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will engage students in hands-on, project-based learning experiences that introduce foundational skills in technology, engineering, and design. This position focuses on fostering problem-solving, creativity, and real-world application aligned with New York State learning standards. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in technology education for grades 6–8 Teach topics such as basic engineering design, woodworking, building trades, and digital literacy Create a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom/lab environment Incorporate project-based learning and hands-on activities Assess student progress and provide timely feedback Maintain equipment, tools, and materials in the technology lab Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Qualifications: Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Technology Education (preferred) or eligibility to obtain transitional certification Bachelor’s degree in Technology Education, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) Experience working with middle school and/or high school students Strong classroom management and organizational skills Knowledge of current instructional technology and tools Ability to promote a safe learning environment, including proper use of tools and equipment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with building trades, woodworking, drafting/design, or STEM-related coursework Familiarity with project-based learning and inquiry-based instruction To Apply: Please submit the following: Cover letter Resume Three current letters of recommendation Copy of your NYS teaching certification or a screenshot from the TEACH system Online applications are preferred, or send materials to: Caitlyn Vivacqua, Human Resources Clerk Broadalbin-Perth Central School District 20 Pine Street Broadalbin, NY 12025 Broadalbin-Perth CSD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
