Job Description:Implement various teacher strategies to facilitate learning amongst diverse learners.Plan culturally responsive lessons/units, experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. learning standards and multiple assessments including formative and benchmark assessments in unit designs.Desire and knowledge to balance students’ social/emotional and academic/intellectual needs.Uses varied instructional methods and assessments to support:Engaged learningHigher-order thinking skillsMeaningful, authentic use of knowledgeIntegration of 21st century skillsMultiple IntelligencesWork collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, related service providers, support staff, students, and families to ensure all students achieve success.Minimum Qualifications:Must possess current NYS Certification in English Language Arts 7-12.Ability to work with students/staff in varied social/cultural backgrounds.Experience working with secondary aged students.Appointment subject to fingerprint clearance.
