The Berlin Central School District seeks a talented and innovative Middle-High school Principal, who will help the school to realize its vision for excellence and its mission to ensure the maximum educational development of each student. The ideal candidate will be prepared and excited to educate students in a dynamic, caring, and dedicated small school environment.Position:Middle /High School PrincipalGrades 6-1212 month Tenure track position, Effective September 1, 2023Qualifications:New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification required, or eligible through Interstate agreement.Middle School/High School leadership experience preferred.Performance Responsibilities:Foster a climate of continuous Instructional improvement.Evaluation and supervision of all professional and non-instructional staff as per the district APPR plan.Ability to build a strong collaborative vision for the school, and sustained relationships with staff, students, families, and the community to motivate them toward the vision.Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment. Incorporate strategies to ensure that students’ social-emotional wellbeing and academic success are central to decisions.Demonstrate the use of data-driven instruction to support student learning and interventions.Develop recommendations for the building’s annual budget and monitor the budget throughout the school year.Coordinate and supervise all school sponsored functions and activities.Work with various building and district committees, and other administrators, to enhance staff professional development, improve student learning, collaborate with state agencies, etc.Develop a Master Schedule in collaboraton with the guidance counselors.Other duties as assigned.In addition to applying on OLAS, Interested candidates should email a Cover letter, Resume, and 3 References to Ms. Tracy Kent at tkent@berlincentral.org, ORMail it to Ms. Tracy Kent, Principal, Berlin Elementary School, 53 School St, Berlin, NY 12022 no later than Friday, August 18th.
