The Briarcliff Manor High School is seeking an eager and highly qualified Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team of educators and fulfill our mission of inspiring and challenging students to realize their full potential academically, physically, socially and emotionally; prepare them to be successful in this global society.Position: Teaching AssistantFull Time: 1.0Tenure-track: YesLocation: Briarcliff High School, Grades 9-12Effective Date: TBDCertification Required: New York State Level I, II or III Teaching Assistant Certification required Certification Preferred: New York State Teaching Certification Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate: Committed to creating a student-centered, technology-infused learning experience Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents Experience working with studentsExudes a joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levelJob Responsibilities:Facilitate and support instruction (direct or indirect) to students. Monitor and supervise students in his/her care. Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration. Other duties as assigned. Teaching Assistant Benefit Summary:Salary: Starting Salary $25,000 $825 increase each year $500 increase upon tenure conferral $400 annual longevity after (5) five years of service in the district Individual Annual Benefits: Sick Leave: 11 days (7 days may be used for Family Illness) Personal Leave: 3 days (4 days after five years of service in the district) Bereavement Leave: 5 days Cancer Screening: .5 day Parental Leave: up to 40 days Childcare/Adoptive Leave: up to 18 months Dental Benefits: Provided by Guardian, NO COST to the employee or their family. Group Term Life/Disability: Provided by Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, at NO COST to the employee after (2) two years of employment. AFLAC Insurance: Available to employees at no cost to the district. Tax Sheltered Annuity Plans (OMNI): 403(b) and/or 457 plans. Flexible Benefit Plans: Healthcare Reimbursement: Selectable amounts between $300 and $3200 per year. Dependent Care Reimbursement: Selectable amounts between $300 and $5000 per household per year.
