Join us as we incorporate a range of instructional strategies, create opportunities for discussion and reflection, offer community building and service learning, encourage students to take risks in their learning, and maintain clear expectations for behavior and social interaction. Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate: Committed to student-centered and student-driven learning experiences with opportunities for student voice and choice.Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents Eagerness to learn and apply innovative classroom practices and technology. Develops and administers world language education curriculum, specifically in French, consistent with school district goals and vision and is aligned with revised state standards. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning at the middle school level. Teaches knowledge and skills in a language other than English, including comprehension, grammar and syntax, sentence and paragraph structure, composition, vocabulary and proper word usage, colloquialisms, communication, and translation of literature. Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs. Encourages parental involvement in students’ education and ensures effective communication with students and parents. Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty and student body. Exudes a joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levels.
