The Briarcliff Manor Union Free District is seeking a Long Term Substitute Math Teacher for the Briarcliff Middle School. The job assignment and qualifications are as follows:Develops and administers 7th and 8th grade math education curriculum, consistent with school district goals and vision. Demonstrates strong knowledge of Next Generation Learning Standards. Current on new instructional methodologies, tools and resources and their use in the classroom. Monitor and assess students’ growth and progress; communicate assessment analysis with teachers, support staff, administration and parents. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning at the middle school level. Committed to student-centered and student-driven learning experiences with opportunities for student voice and choice. Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty and student body.Approximate Effective Date: January 30, 2023-May 8, 2023NYS Math Certification required, experience teaching math at the middle school level preferred.
