DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is manual work of a routine nature requiring efficient performance of simple repetitive cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. Work is performed under direct supervision. Performs related work as required.TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only)Cleans interior section of sections of buildings;Uses building cleaning supplies, materials and equipment;Dusts chairs, tables and other furniture;Washes windows, walls, woodwork, toilets, sinks and other plumbing fixtures;Sweeps, mops, waxes floors;Sets up and takes down chairs for assemblies and special meetings;Gathers and disposes of refuse;Replaces paper towels and toilet tissue;Trims shrubs, sweeps sidewalks and shovels snow;Performs minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs and replacing ceiling tiles;May secure buildings at night;May vacuum and clean vehicles in the motor pool.Performs a variety of related activities as required.
