Brewster Central School District believes that the continuous evolution of professional practice for the benefit of students occurs most effectively through the Professional Learning Community model. Brewster Central School District anticipates a 1.0 FTE School Social Worker (District-Wide) to join our community of professional learners. Effective January 30, 2023.This individual will be responsible for providing Tier III counseling support to our students who are experiencing difficulty post-COVID. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to connecting families to outside therapy and support (for needs beyond the school setting) and collaborating with school staff to address identified needs. The social worker will see students either individually or in small groups. Students will be referred to this individual via the Multi-Tiered System of Supports process that is established in each building. Qualifications - Must hold a NYS Certification School Social Worker Required; Spanish bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.The Brewster CSD will only consider electronic, online form submissions made through the OLAS or Recruitfront website.
