Job DescriptionConducts Phycological testing, evaluations and education evaluations for BCSD students including students in outside placements.Provide crisis intervention support to students, staff and families.Provide classroom consultation and educational training for staff.Provide counseling, instruction, and mentoring for those struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems. (Individual and group therapy- reponsible for scheduling mandated IEP counseling.Increase achievement by assessing barriers to learning and determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning.Promote wellness and resilience by reinforcing social skills, problem solving, anger management, self-regulation, sel-determination, and optimism.Makes referrals and kelp coordinate community support service.Design and implement student progress monitoring systems.Design and implement informal and/or formal academic and behavioral interventions for SWD in district and outside placements.Participation in school-wide prevention programs that help maintain positive school climates conducive to learning (PBIS).Promote school policies and practices that ensure the safety of all students by reducing school violence, bullying, and harassment.Assist/support BOCES programs by completing appropriate evaluations, FBA's and BIP's.Help students transition to and from school and community learning environments, such as residential treatment and juvenile justice programs.Participate in PLC', data-huddles. Rtl team meetings an department meetings.Applicants must be New York State certified.
