Probationary School Counselor (Middle School) Location: Grand Avenue Middle School District: Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a probationary Middle School Counselor for a vacancy at Grand Avenue Middle School. The successful candidate will support students’ academic and social-emotional development while collaborating with faculty, administration, and families to promote student success. Responsibilities include: Providing individual and group counseling to middle school students Supporting students’ academic planning and transition to high school Assisting with scheduling and monitoring student progress Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs Communicating with families and facilitating referrals to outside services when appropriate Participating in building-based support teams and student support initiatives Qualifications: Valid New York State School Counselor certification required Experience working with middle school students preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Start Date: Anticipated - August 20, 2026 We are proud of the achievements of our students, the dedication and professionalism of our staff, and the commitment of our community.
