Life Science: Biology/AP Psychology Leave Replacement anticipated January 2026 through March 2026 Bellmore-Merrick CHSD is seeking a dedicated and qualified Leave Replacement Science Teacher for a temporary assignment anticipated to begin in January 2026 and continue through March 2026. Please note there is a possibility that the start date may be as early as late November 2025.Teaching ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a program that includes: Regents Biology (multiple sections), including one Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) section, and AP Psychology (multiple sections).QualificationsRequired Certification:New York State Certification in Biology (Grades 7-12)New York State Certification in General Science (Grades 7-12)Preferred Certification:New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities/Special Education (Grades 7-12)Experience:Prior experience teaching at both the Regents (high school level) and Advanced Placement (AP) level is strongly preferred.Experience in a collaborative teaching environment, specifically an ICT setting, is a plus.Skills:Demonstrated ability to engage diverse learners and differentiate instruction.Strong knowledge of the New York State Science Learning Standards and Regents exam preparation.
