Our staff is truly the best.....and you would be a welcome addition to our team!We are currently seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher for our School-Age Program.The Teacher for our School-Age classroom will work with a small class of students with multiple disabilities, including physical and intellectual. Students in this classroom require individualized attention, assistive technology and participate in the NYS Alternate Assessment program.Many students are accompanied by a personal nurse, who is able to provide required medical interventions throughout the day, including meals. The Teacher in this classroom will be required to assist in lifting and transferring students in this classroom.Experience working with children with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is very helpful in this role.At Brookside School, our staff love to work with children and have a strong desire to make a difference every day.
